Size comparison betwixt 3790 and 3590 - Thought for a moment that the 3590 was cheating with the fat black border but find that the 3790 has the same - my smartphones have ± no border.

Yes - lately it seems that the second digit = Ø" 4" and 5" although it was not the case with the 3790 (Bottom of the Pic)
I am still at a loss at the Garmin numbering system of the screenshots - I "BulkRename" them and convert them to jpegs in a routine so that the names at least men something. (Canon has a worse system!)
Anyway, 3790 has been upgraded to version 5.0 (.0's are always looking for trouble) whilst 3590 has been up graded to 7.9 (I think it was!)

Re: I bit the Bullit! 3590LT @ R2999 Makro Ottery
The 3590 is 5 inch diagonal vs 3490/3790 4.3 inch diagonal.
In screen area the 3590 is about 30% larger but the number of pixels is the same on both 800x480.
The 3490/3790 seems to be a bit brighter more white (less blue).
Any +ve or -ve feedback on version 7.50
I found that the Portrait mode Navigation on Auto Zoom is now more realistic.
I also found that on multi point trips (routes) it is now a bit faster when doing the switch.
The display also now shows more street names and the title bar switches from one line to 2 lines when needed.
on 7.2 I had a few hangs when connecting USB, seems to be sorted and USB seems faster when copying.
I have a feeling that the Grey Map Bug is fixed but cannot be sure.
Bad Basecamp Intergration and Horrible Favourites Icons is still not Fixed.
So Far my experience is +ve.

Thanks for your rundown/opsomming there - Always good to compare one's experience with another - Notice the "Like" / "Thanks" button at the top of each post - not sure what the impact is - See my thanks is valued at 25% ???
I also notice that the mod page on Noemens has gone to 50+ pages and that you frequent/assist there frequently - Are the initial How To still valid or are there some mods that popped up in the meantime - I started working through all the comments but got distracted??

Still soft booting regularly at start of a trip.
Starting sometimes starts at "Loading Maps" scenario and then the Screen Capture Icon is gone requiring me to go though the menus to tick it ON again. 1410 was like this but 3790 held onto that setting regardless.
One would think that the programmers will have a list of functions they stick to like religion....

Re: I bit the Bullit! 3590LT @ R2999 Makro Ottery
tested my 3590 yesterday for the first time since loading the new version firmware (7.5). Screen/map updates seems to be faster than with previous version (7.2) specifically when going around a corner. Test duration was very short (5km) so no other functionality could be tested, but everything seems to be fine.
