Using TYRE
First there were Mapsource, then BaseCamp and then "TYRE" This is not a joke!!! 
Units: Nuvi 500, GPSMap 62s, Nuvi 3790LT, Nuvi 2595LT, Nuvi 3590LT, Caska.

Hi Bosluis, download the program from the address Jan provided.
Jan, did you work with the software before and what do you think of it?
Google Maps are part of it and i find the proffessional version working beautifull, Dassil.

No like Bosluis I never heard of it before but curiosity got the better of me so I used the good old trusted Google to find it. 
Just an aside on moving post around. We do it to facilitate searching and finding it again when needed later on. We try to match the topic contents with the Forum Headings. Will have a look and see where it will fit in and then split move this section away under a new topic name. .

Hi Dasil, You can't load your maps from BaseCamp to your Smartphone or Tablet but it can be done with
TyreToTravel (Google Maps)
Even BaseCamp is making use of Google Earth.
"GOOGLE" will always be a winner!!!
