Garmin Communicator Browser plug-in

This morning, after doing firmware updates on my Garmin Nuvi 55LM, I noticed that, when accessing the MyGarmin website with either Chrome or Firefox, that the Garmin Communicator browser plug-in no longer supports any other browser, except the most detested one on the planet, namely Microsoft's Internet Explorer.

With the Microsoft update to Windows 10 comes the new web browser Edge. This is something the Fire fox lovers will like. Garmin Communicator is not compatible with Edge. So that is bad news for those that currently download the gpi files from the forum.

I normally do a check download of the gpi files after I uploaded them to the server. With Edge not compatible I played around with Firefox. Going into Firefox setup you can activate the Garmin Communicator plug in and then it downloads faultlessly.

Edge users can still download the gpi files by taking the open with Internet Explorer option befor opening the download forum. Make sure you turnoff the advanced protection mode in the in IE or it will block downloading.
