Thanks, Jan. I did speak to them and the needed to make some changes, as apparently MapSource is being replaced by BaseCamp, which does not have the same functionality.

Yes Basecamp replaced Mapsource but regardless of what you use the system download the gma file to the same folder which in Windows 7 is c:/users/(your name)/appdata/roaming/garmin/maps ?(I hope I have got that right). Both Mapsource and Basecamp look for the gma file there to unlock the maps. See this screen shot

BaseCamp replaced MapSource about a year ago.
When you use the latest version of BaseCamp (Refer to the BaseCamp Forum) you will find that it actually offers more functionality than MapSource.

I can see that you are a converted man Metro, It just takes a while to find where all the good stuff is.

Joe, it seems like only a few of us are prepared to admit publicly that we are actually using BaseCamp....
I've heard quite a few people stating that BaseCamp is useless, but the secret is in your statement that "It just takes a while to find where all the good stuff is."
Once you've taken the time to explore the latest version, it works a treat.

Thanks to all for the assistance. I now have the maps installed for both BaseCamp and MapSource. I will start another topic in respect of BaseCamp vs MapSource.
