I have split the topic and moved the section regarding the red encircled plus to a new forum I have created for the Nüvi 34xx under on the road models. That portion was getting a bit off topic

Joe: How do you save in BaseCamp to use with WinGDB3?
You cannot use options 1-15.

Thanks.

Hi Joe: Takes you back to a Mapsourse file and when you select
"BaseCamp" and "Make via points in routes invisible (remove flags)"in WinGBD3
it doesn't remove the points. Maby i am missing something.
I think BaseCamp likes only .gpx files and WinGDB3 not.
Help!!!

Hi John,

Try this one, it works with GPX files.
unflag.zip
(PS. I tried navigating a small (modified) route this morning and it seemed to work.)
Will try a big complicated one on the weekend.

Also remember to remove Favourites from the route, You must only use Map Points when creating the route.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Hi Joe: Seems to me you have answers for anything.
Why didn't you help me a year ago with this problem?
I will try this one out lunchtime, something wrong with
my work PC, cannot get file out of Wordpad.
Will test the favorites allso.
Thanks again.

Hi Joe: Tried everything out as you explained it to me, but without any success.
I am very pleased to stick to Mapsource and WinGBD3.
Thanks again a million times for all your time.

It seems that Basecamp reconverts the route to have the Flags again.
I'm with you on sticking to Mapsource.I think it is the best solution.
I'm not going to do too much else until I get a chance to drive a 70Km route with about 7 Segments.
Another good tip for Trip Planner is to avoid putting the shaping points at an intersection, It's actually better to put them on a straight road, about 200 meters after the intersection. This gives Trip Planner time to do it's change from the one trip to the next. You don't even notice that it's done it.

That's what i did about a year ago with my 3790 and did quite a few routes with this method.
I agree: We reach the end of this discushion.
"Mapsource" are their to stay!!
Just want to thank you again, Joe.

Hi Joe, Just a final word from my side before you close this interesting topic, Jan.
I tested my 3790 and 2595 today from Potchefstroom to 4-Ways, Johannesburg
With the route i created with Mapsource and WinGDB3. I loaded 12 waypoints and removed
10 of them in WinGDB3, left me with only the beginning and end waypoints. (163km)
One continious route without any interruptions.
WinGDB3 is definitely a winner.

Regards.
