Free Lifetime Maps

I see in your signature that you have the 3490LMT. On my box it says 3490LT without the "M". But there is a sticker on the box that says "Free Lifetime Maps". I'm a bit confused here. I checked on the Garmap site and it informed me that I do not qualify for free map updates. I bought mine from Due South in George.

Can you perhaps throw light on this Joe?

Do you have a card in the box, same size as a bank card ?
On this card are the instructions to activate the free lifetime maps. (City Navigator Southern Africa)
If you did not get this card you need to contact the supplier because all 3490 sold now have LMT.
This is a good decision by Garmin South Africa.
You need to register the device at Garmin.com not Garmap
You will also need to create for yourself an account at Garmin.com
