Brian I am not sure whether Garmap add their Poi's during the process of converting the data supplied by Totom or if the get the data from Tomtom with the Poi already added. I will see if I can get an answer from Shorty. If you can mail me a Geo tagged photo of the Cemetery gate I will see what I can do to get the data corrected. As soon as I know where the data is supposed to be send to I will post the information here

Brian on retrospect I am not sure whether it can be done on all the cell phone brands. On BlackBerry you can activate the option and with its GPS switched on it will add the co-ordinates to the properties when the photo is taken. It is then easy to locate where and when the photo was taken. Send me the info you have and I will try my best to get rectified.

It's actually surprising that Garmap 2013.1 is not available yet.
The First Revision of the year is their primary source of income for the Upgrade Market.
I think that Garmap Errors need to be reported to Tele-Atlas actually.

http://mapinsight.teleatlas.com/mapfeedback/index.php

It takes long to filter down to Garmap but it eventually does.

All you need is the LAT/LON and description of error.
They will track it by e-mail and will tell you when the correction has been done on the MAP.

Actually Tele-atlas were bought out by Tomtom a few years ago. Tomtom supply Garmap with the raw digitised data and Garmap/ Garmin uses their own software to transform the data into the format that their navigation units require to function.

See this post by Shorty regarding Tele-atlas

It seem that the Poi are added to the database by Tomtom I will get permission from my contact at Tomtom to post the contact details and procedure for submitting corrections and new poi to Tomtom on the forum.

Map errors and such can still be reported to Shorty at his Tomtom email address. it must be accurate and correctly described. Track logs must not be "locked to road" as per the normal PND track log. You can use the hidden track log facility if you know how to manipulate your GPS to record the "hidden track log", download the bin file and convert it with Nutrac to a proper track log not lock to the road. that would be acceptable. You may also use the Tomtom Map share Reporter http://www.tomtom.com/mapshare/tools/ even as a non-owner. Data verified will be in the database within 3-4 days but it can still take 6-12 months before it appear on a map-release.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
