Frans

I've tried my best to make the descriptions as descriptive as possible.

I trust that members will adjust to the layout as I personally feel that the Board Index looks less cluttered and more streamlined.

I also need to thank Darryl for taking the huge chance of letting me loose on the innards of his forum....
Thanks also to Darryl for all the time spent behind the scenes setting up what needs to be done.

My thanks also to Jan who always responded to my requests to move something, do something, or anything else that I could dream up to keep him busy........

Thanks to all members for waiting patiently while the forum was being put in place, but I think that everyone will appreciate the fact that the creation of this forum came down on us like a ton of bricks.

Congratulations on the New Forum.
Why do some users show as new users and others show as registered users ?

I must really thank MN for the long Hours he has put in developing the Forum. The way he has setup the structure familiar but new. The baiscs are there now and it is up to us to use it and develop it to its full potential. I never for a moment thought a week ago that be would have a site available by now never mind a fully functional one. My compliments to all involved. This has really moved at light speed and I struggled to keep up.

Hi dasilvarsa,

As soon as a user posts 3 or more posts, then it changes from New User to Registered User (a ranking system which at the suggestion of Hennie, we abandon due to forum users posting cr@p to increase their rankings).

The system just helps us to identify users quickly who would still need to complete their 3 posts and then they can go full steam with PM's, etc. Hope the explanation helps.

It is recommended that you do the first 3 post as quick as possible as from there on you can post without approval first and do PM's etc. Regarding spammers the serious ones are quite clever changing e mail addresses, user names and using mobile SP's which assign a new IP to you each time you sign onto the network.
