Garmin Express

Hi Guys,
While browsing the internet , I found this ( Garmin Express Updater ), updated version of the Garmin web updater, which is a better way of updating all gps's, for those individuals being interested. Garmin Express, when installed on pc. or Mac Versions will immediately recognize Garmin device, and from there you can do installs of software updates, map updates, extra content, download product manuals, backs up saved favorites, and transfers saved favorites between compatible devices.

Thanks for the info Phillip. Yes it replaced Mapupdater, My Dashboard and Webupdater. When you use My Dashboard it directs you to download and install Garmin express. The downside of this program is the loss of the option to install the downloaded Map Update to your computer.

Hi Jan,
Yes, I suppose, as we go along, we find that things is not what we expect, but later on find "hickups", as you pointed out. Thanks for the info anyway.

The problem sometimes are that big firms tend to develop a big brother attitude. I think computers were more fun prior to the "windows" era. Hopefully a future update of express will incorporate the option to install updated maps on both the computer and GPS again.
