Good morning Gents!

#1804

Post by SA Airborne »

My name is Paul, and I'm from Durban, KZN.

I am self-employed in the security industry, specialising in operating in high-risk, high-threat environments. I regularly deploy to odd places around the world on a contract basis. I have a selection of GPSr's which I use internationally, and some which stay at home.

I hope this forum will enable me to utilise my units to their fullest capacity by teaching me intricacies off which I was unaware.

My 'hobbies' - which also prepare me to be better equipped for my daily job - are as follows:
4x4 overlanding/touring (Toyota Land Cruiser).
Adventure biking (BMW R1200GSA).
Shooting (Rifle, shotgun and pistol).
Skydiving.

I am also a reasonably competent DIY/Handyman when it comes to sorting out anything around the home/car/bike/office. I'd rather do the job myself and know it's done properly!

My GPS of choice is Garmin, and I own the following units (some obsolete):

Garmin V, eTrex, Foretrex 101, GPSMAP 276C, GPSMAP 60CSx, Nuvi 310, Zumo 500, Dakota 20, Montana 600.

Hi Paul and welcome to the forum.

We hope we are able to teach you more about your GPSr units and can be of assistance in times of trouble.
