RHD on Montana = RHD on Nuvi?

Post by SA Airborne »

Well, I guess that means I'd best spend some time on the Nuvi forums...

A very interesting, informative site - I can see I'll be spending a bit of time browsing around it!

Hi Paul Welcome. JohanGPS reported here mapping-handhelds/rhd-on-montana-t255.html that that he loaded the RHD to his Montana without any problem using PoiEditor. That mean that the same process as for the Nuvi range can be used successful.

Thanks Jan,

I'll give it a bash when I've got enough time to go through the Nuvi forums, not to mention I've yet to fathom out how to load POI and audio files.

I guess it's all in here, I just need to get to the relevant instructions and work it out.

Paul here is a link that may help you through the process general-discussions-rhd/nuvi-42lm-t333.html
You will need to download the files Road Hazard Data Wave, GPS Sounds Wave, Toll One Sounds Wave and Toll One Data Wave form the RHD section.

Thanks Jan - I wondered whether I needed the .wav files or the .mp3 files.

I guess you've just answered a question for me!

I'll get onto the link you provided, and see what else I can learn.

Thanks again,

Paul
