I couldn't find this as a topic on its own so I started this, if in err please correct it.
For the last couple of months I had trouble updating to the latest edition of Garmin Express. It runs up to a point then stops with the message 'Failed' 'Try again'. and it happens over and over. Yesterday it happened again and thid morning I found this message in the requirements of Garmin Express: "High speed Internet access (Not for use with dial-up, mobile or satellite connections)" All my previous installation were through mobile connection. Can anybody help me please.

I only use a 3G connection through a Vodacom R208 Router, previously a R201 router for all my internet connections. What happen with a mobile connection is that it may hop around 3G and the slower edge/2G connection witch will result in a timeout on the Garmin server if it uses edge or 2G. On the setting for your router or mobile modem you have the option to choose between 3G preferred, 3G only, 2G preferred. Make sure that If/when you are in a 3G coverage area that it is set to 3G only. This ensure a faster and more stable connection and may solve your problem.
