Which Data to Download

Confused which RHD will work on your GPS?

If you have one of the following Nuvi 3xx Nuvi 6xx Nuvi 7xx and Nuvi 8xx your unit would l need the Mp3 data. BUT THERE ARE REPORTS ON OTHER FORUMS THAT THE OLDER MP3 UNITS DO WORK WITH WAVE FILES ASWELL. Currently only Wave data will be made available. Please install the wave files and give us feedback if you experience problems

All other and new models will need the Wave Data.

If you do not want to install the voice warnings please download the Wave data only and ignore the sounds downloads. After unzipping to a suitable Folder on your computer Install to the GPS using PoiLoader.

Please note you can only access and download the Road Hazard Data if you are a registered user and logged on. The RHD Forum is hidden from quests and members not logged on.

In addition two pre setup downloads are available for direct downloading a GPSr or PND to cater for voice warnings or without using the Garmin Communicator add on. Both have preset grace limits of 9kmh on all speeds. with this setup the camera warning will only trigger with a single warning and grey banner if you are over the speed limit. If you exceed the speed limit by more than 9kmh a continues warning and red banner will be triggered.
