Welcome Theo. Please feel free to ask if you need help. There are a lot of knowledgeable members on the forum who may be able to help. Also feel free to contribute where you can help like your post regarding firmware updates. One tends to forget that there may still be some firmware update available for the older models that may solve your problem.

Thanks for the welcome.
I'm one of those people that just won't throw away equipment that still works.
My 710 has still got features that modern units don't have.
Pity we can't make the old units a bit faster though.

Three things drew me to the newer models. Lifetime map updates included in the price, Lane assist and Junction view. To my opinion the Garmap map sets although not updated for 3 years is still a better proposition than the current CN rendition.
