Hi All
I have just joined the forum and am new to GPS. I have always been a 'map person', but was recently given a Nuvi 500. I have plotted some custom routes and loaded them onto the Nuvi and used them with some success. The biggest mistake I made was saying ' yes' to go to the start of the custom route when actually beyond the starting point as the GPS tries to then take you to the actual start point.
Hope to learn some tricks for all of you experienced users.

Welcome to the forum Keith. If there is anything you need help with please do not hesitate to ask. I am sure that the combined brains trust will be able to come up with some solution. The Nuvi 500 is still a very good unit with lots of features that makes life easier.
