My nuvicam has a 4gb microsim. On a recent trip it gave an error message saying the card was full. I tried deleting video clips, as well as the trash can, and even resorted to formatting the card (with mush sweat and worry) because we were on day 1 of a 2 week trip. No luck - that was a month ago, and I am still getting messages saying "The memory card has reached the end of its useful life and can no longer record videos. Insert a new memory card to begin recording."
What is going on??
Thanks

Re: camera sim card full
Welcome to the Forum Rob.
I have no experience of the Nuvicam, so hopefully someone will be able to help you. My guess would be that the SD card became corrupted for some reason or another. Have you tried using another SD card in the unit. That would be the quickest way to find out if the problem lies with the card or the unit. It the problem is with unit it would be best let Garmin have a look at it.
You can use up to a 64gb card in the Nuvicam
This is what is they say in the user manual: The camera requires a Micro SD or a Micro SDHC memory card up to 64gb with a speed rating of class 4 or higher. You may purchase a compatible memory card from a electronics dealer.

Make sure to format the SD card as Fat32.

Thanks for that, but I was traveling so had to use the default card format option offered by the nuvicam - and it didn't work...F.Viljoen wrote:Make sure to format the SD card as Fat32.

Hi Rob,
Possibly 1 of 2 things.
1. Your card is stuffed.
2. I don't know your device, but most dash cams comes with built-in G-sensors that automatically save and protect footage from overwriting or formatting.
Have you tried downloading the footage to your PC and see if any, or perhaps all your videos are locked?

I'm out of town again and will try hooking up to the pc when back (but doubt there's anything there coz card has been "formatted") . I think I'll take it in to the dealership...
