2497 LMT Firmware Issue

Hi Guys,

My buddy and I both have 2497LMT devices but my software is 8.5 and his is 5.4. I have added both to the same Garmin express suite and simply cannot get his to update to 8.5. His 2497LMT is about 2 years old and mine is alot newer but surely his device should update to the new firmware?? Any advice or tips on what to do here?
