Beta testing

#4652

Post by fugglefeet »

Hi all,

I have been delaying upgrading the forum software and database due to features that are currently installed on the forum that are no longer being developed. I have however found a way to put the new version of forum software to the test. Please feel free to test it at:-

testforum.gps-users-forum.co.za

Also test it in terms of what a spammer would try to do and please provide feedback here as to the overall experience.

Apologies Robert. You have to re-register on the beta site. The user mane of this site will not work there

Hi all,

My apologies too. I forgot to mention that the test forum would require for the users to register again. The intent is to see how easy/difficult it is to register and to see how effective the software is in preventing spammers. At the moment the forum software is bland (no nifty little tweaks and tricks) in comparison to the existing forum with the exception of software to block spammers.
