Smartphone Applications

Hi guys, thought I should share this information with you. If you decide to download and install any application on your smartphone, take some time and have a look at what information you grant permission to the app to be used. For instance, if you need a music player, to play music only, why does the app need permission to read your contacts, use the camera etc. Now is the time that you should ask yourself the question.....do I need such an app? Remember, if you granted an app permission to access all your information on your phone and something goes wrong, you're to blame. For those of you that does personal banking on your smartphones, be very careful of apps that you've downloaded and installed. Unfortunately we don't know what these apps do in the phones background. There are a vast amount of "rats" out there that could and will make you're life hell. Applications that came pre-installed with your smartphone could be considered safe.
