Darryl, did you receive the last Topo Update (2012.3)?
I have an electronic copy, but would it be possible to host the files on some server maybe? For future downloads?
Thanks
Desmond

Should anyone require a copy of a DVD of a particular mapset, these are the ones that a copy can be made of. Be aware that these DVD's only contain the data and NOT any form of information that will bypass the relevant registration information.

Unfortunately not. Knowing the size of the electronic copy will help in being able to determine if it can be included on the forum server for download via FTP. The forum's current disk space is 1GB of which 577MB is used by the forum's database, software and images that are uploaded to the forum. Currently there is 447 MB free space available on the server to allow for FTP downloads. I am investigating a possible workaround using a Dell PowerEdge server to host the requests for downloads of any of the CD's/DVD's in the library.
Hope this helps.

Can someone advice on a later SatNav DVD (South Africa or Southern Africa) I can use in my Jaguar? I just have a 2005 Denso version. Or Can I download say a 2007-2010 that does not need unlocking or can be unlocked at a dealership? Doug
Hi Douglas, Phillip. The map sets currently available from the forum Dvd Library, might not work on your vehicle. I don't know if your vehicle service agent could supply you with more information on the subject.
First of all, you've got to be more specific about your vehicle.
*Is the Gps in car, fitted with Pro Services?.... if not, you will not be able to update your maps, but if the vehicle is fitted with the Pro Services Application, continue as outlined below.....
*In order to enable connectivity on the car, please install a SIM with a suitable data-only contract. You might need to request it from your mobile network provider (Vodacom, MTN, etc).
*SIM CARD INSTALLATION
STEP 1
Depending on your Infotainment system, the SIM card size should be:
• InControl Touch Pro: Micro SIM
• InControl Touch/ Touch Plus: Standard SIM
STEP 2
Make sure that the SIM card is fully inserted with the gold connectors uppermost and the shortest end facing outwards. When the SIM card is correctly inserted, it should not be sticking out from the slot.
*You will only need to enable connectivity for cars fitted with Pro Services, to enable the full set up of connected services. In order to prevent the ignition switching off, make sure the engine is started and the car is left running.
STEP 3
Access the connectivity settings on your car from the general car settings menu and enable mobile data. Go to the Settings icon in any screen > All Settings > Features > Connectivity > Mobile Data ON.
STEP 4
Once successfully connected, it will display either a 3G or a Wi-Fi icon on the upper corner of the Touchscreen. Please note, it may take up to 2 minutes to connect to the internet depending on network signal strength.
Step 5 CREATE A PROFILE
STEP 1
When you first use Touch Pro Navigation, you will be asked to create and name your profile. This allows you to save favourite destinations, previous journeys and navigation settings.
STEP 2
When prompted, scroll to the bottom of the page and select Turn on all/Turn on to enable all connected navigation features. These include historic traffic patterns and Real Time Traffic Information. Selecting Continue/Cancel disables all connected navigation features.
CREATE AN ACCOUNT
Once your profile has been created, you can create a Touch Pro Navigation Account by selecting Sign in on the main navigation screen.
You may also be prompted to do so when accessing certain features that require you to be signed in, including Share ETA, Cloud Sync or Door-to-Door navigation.
ACCEPT TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Follow the on-screen instructions to register a new account. You will be prompted to accept the Navigation Terms and Conditions, which you can access by typing the given URL into your browser.
ACCESSING INCONTROL ROUTE PLANNER
InControl Route Planner allows you to plan your routes and save destinations and places. When Pro Services is fitted you can access these routes later from your car. You can also manage your Touch Pro Navigation account from this website and log in using the email address and password you created on your Jaguar’s navigation system.
For more information on how to access the latest map updates, please visit the Maps and Services section on InControl Route Planner, which can be downloaded for both Android and Apple smart phones, from the application stores.
SET UP LIVE APPS
A number of LIVE Apps can be downloaded onto Jaguar's Touch Pro infotainment system, to give you access to live information including weather, flight and the latest news updates.
Hopes this helps,
Regards

Thanks a lot for your inputs. My car is a 2005 S-Type Facelift. t uses a DVD player operating from the boot of the car.. I current have a foreign CD/DVD in there. I thus any South Africa DVD even if it is outdated.
Hi Douglas, Phillip. The dvd's available in the library is not going to help you in any way, because to "unlock" the map sets, it needs a valid licence code, and the codes is no longer available from Garmap, as this web site closed down. The licence codes, at the time, was bought from Garmap, and was only limited to one GPS unit.
What you could try, if you've got access to a computer, is to download a partial or full map set, for free, from Open Street Maps,(https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=5/-28.676/24.677) and no licence code is required for the use of the maps
Hopes this helps.
