IMPORTANT NOTICE READ BEFORE Updating GPI FILES
Before downloading updated .gpi files use the option on PoiLoader to delete all previous RHD data. Failure to do so may result in changes made to the data not installing correctly.

Re: IMPORTANT NOTICE READ BEFORE Updating GPI FILES
Allow me to elaborate a bit on the subject.
It has come to our notice that Garmin Communicator the program used to upload the gpi files from the servertoyor PND (GPS) does not completely overwrite the RHD data on the PND. It compares the data in each poi on the PND to what is on the server and will only overwrite where it detect that changes were made to a poi.
Where for instance a poi were deleted it has no data to compare and thus ignore that poi and leave the poi on the PND.
An example of this is on the December 2020 update poi 3764 and 3777 (60KKmh MT) were deleted and does not reflect in the gpi files uploaded on the server yet it were still active on the PND after the update were uploaded.
To prevent this from happening it is recommended that you use PoiLoader to first remove the old RHD gpi file from your PND.
Doing that will remove all files and folders stored under "Extras" on you PND but will leave other Poi like the T4A poi, Cylops and your Favorites (.gpx files) which is stored in a separate folders intact.
It will be advisable to copy any personal files that you may have uploaded to your PND as gpi files that you do not want to lose to your computer to be copied back after the update is uploaded.
It is also good practice to upload your personal files (poi of places you often visit or addresses of friends and family) as gpx files using MapSource or BaseCamp. That will place them under favorites on your PND and it cannot/will not be deleted using PoiLoader.
