Eventually the forum software has been upgraded to the latest version currently available and made secure with all the necessary extensions to prevent spammers from hijacking the forum.

Managed to get some of our favourite functions and options back that work with the new forum software. They are:-
Thanks for Post
Post Numbers (displays the post ID as can be seen from the posts)
Poster IP in Viewtopic (Admins only)
Display Age Users
Separate Users and Bots
If there are any other features deemed good for the forum, these will be added as necessary.

Thank you. For the benefit of the community, I have enabled HTTPS for the forum. Something that is now commonplace with websites.
