Re: TomTom and routes
Hi Andre
That's a question I need the answer to as well
so I'll get some tuition tomorrow. In the meantime have a look through this website http://www.pocketgpsworld. It's content is almost encyclopedic of just about anything GPS (and GPSr).
Remember now, me knowing zilch in answer to your question at this time, I think your Rider will need to have an ovi or ov2 file loaded and my guess is that TomTom HOME on your computer might do the conversion automatically in the GPSr (or a clickety-click in 'HOME') but let me check the specific steps tomorrow. I like the ones that start with 'Connect your GPSr to your computer'
If you haven't already, download TomTom HOME in the meanwhile.

Re: TomTom and routes
Sorry for the late reply. I could not get the problem solved in time for the Race for Victory cycle challenge. What I did instead was to load all the various turns of the 150 Km route and then navigate each leg in time. I'm a Bike Marshall and could not afford to lead the cyclists on an incorrect route.
Thanks John for your info. The first link works better as:***.com I'm afraid not much there, but the second has a lot of info. I will dig there and report back.
I have the latest version of TomTom Home, but all it is good for, in terms of poi's & route planning is that it just emulates the GPSr. You may just as well work on the device. They have nothing like Mapsource. I think the way to go is to save route in Mapsource and then convert to .OV2 and upload. I will report back with the results.
You all have a nice day.
