Removing Cyclops from Unit

#485

Post by Keith »

I previously subscribed for the Cyclops Safety Cameras but have not renewed as I found it was pretty useless in comparison with OUR data. I am now noticing a number of duplications at various locations and can only assume that the unit (3790LT) is picking up info from both data bases. Does anyone know where/what file the Cyclops installs on the unit so it can be deleted?

Keith, dit hang af waar jy die Cyclops geinstalleer het, Unit of SD kaart.
Kyk onder beide se Poi directory vir 3 files, en delete hulle.

I think that you should keep the Cyclops and if you don't have it get the free trial.
Reasons.
The fixed cameras are spot on and 100% accurate.
I've tested the N3 Jhb to DBN and Back and as far as the Fixed Cameras are concerned it proved to be 100% accurate.
The route JHB Skukuza via Malelane and back to JHB has also been tested by myself.
The Cyclops are absolutely bi-directional.
They will only beep in the correct direction and not beep on side roads. (This is impossible to achieve with POILoader)
But then again it's your choice.
Mobile Cameras are speculative no matter which data you use.
If you have both Local Data Sets and Cyclops loaded you will get double or triple beeps sometimes.
I use all the available data sets at the same time in mine and my wife's gps's

Cyclops demo.
OLD Garmap RSD.
NEW RSD from this Forum.
Too Many Beeps is better than a Speed Fine  Keeps you awake as well.
All the different data sets have some unique points and all have mistakes as well.

If you are getting too many beeps on the same point, it might be that you've compiled for proximity only.
It's better to compile for speed. (My preference is speed +9)
