Updating Speed limits

#2001

Post by Jan Horn »

While searching for something else in the 34xx users manual I came across the information that you can change the speed limit display when you are traveling along a section of road where the displayed speed limit does not reflect the correct speed limit. If this work on our current maps I would not be able to comment on. The facility is available on the 3xxx and 2xxx Nuvi models. Maybe some of the fomites can try that out and tell us about their experience.

This feature works only with City Navigator Maps
On 3490 I find it a bit flaky, After a map update or hard reset it seems to lose the customizations.

UPDATING SPEED LIMITS

That is better than I expected. I was worried that the correction might be lost after the first power down. Obviously when you update your map set would be overwritten by the data on the updated map. A hard reset will cause you to loose your user data. Unfortunatly the 3x,4x and 5x series does not support the feature. Thanks for the feedback Joe.
